ROCKS BAG

PROJECT

The rocks bag is made of faux leather and manufactured by vacuum forming.
In my thought process i had seeked to stretch the boundaries of the material and to create contrast.
The material belongs in the world of elegant evening clothes, it transmits quality and prestige.
I chose to contrast that with an addition of a different material that with the faux leather will form a new world - it was rocks.
Using vacuum forming technology i had stretched the faux leather against rocks to create a new texture that originates from the existence of contrast.
After the vacuum forming process i achieved a sheet of fabric with a new and interesting texture, which i decided to saw into a light evening bag.
A bag with a small capacity for a few night-out objects.
And so it fulfills the contrast between elegant evening fashion and rocks by creating a hybrid of them both.
